I would find it interesting to learn about the role and perspective on sexuality. I think this would be interesting because I come from a Roman Catholic background where the stance on LGBT people is pretty clear. Because of this I would be interested to learn how being on the spectrum fits into Jewish spirituality and tradition. I would also be interested to learn more about the function and perception of women in different sects of Judaism because I know it varies greatly but I do not know the specifics and the influence that has. I would also be interested to learn about what it means to be a jew and trans* and how that factors in, and where that places an individual. I think also the perspectives on sexuality as in a women’s sexuality, the idea of sex positivity but also restrictions and how that plays out. In general I want to broaden my understanding of the role of gender and sexuality in religion when coming from a Jewish tradition because I know and understand the Catholic perspective and how that reflects back into my life and how I choose to stray from those expectations as I do not agree with many of them.
